NTI 2015: Learning, Sharing, Leading At the Premier Conference for High Acuity and Critical Care Nurses
April 30, 2015  |

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses’ (AACN) National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition (NTI) is the premier conference for high acuity and critical care nurses.

This year marks the 42nd time nurses from across the country will gather for our national conference, Monday, May 18 through Thursday, May 21, 2015, in San Diego. Preconferences are Sunday, May 17.

With more than 35 contact hours (60 minute contact hour) of continuing nursing education (CE) available, NTI offers incredible value and a vast choice of educational opportunities through more than 300 sessions and 350 exhibitors at the Critical Care Exposition, the largest of its kind for critical care nurses.

We’re traveling west for sunshine, surf and a lot to celebrate. The region’s 70 miles of majestic coastline, Mediterranean climate and friendly atmosphere add to the vibe as we welcome our community of exceptional nurses to San Diego.

            Here’s what’s new in 2015:

  • New ways to learn, more ways to earn. More than 200 NTI sessions will be recorded and offered online with CEs for 60 days after the conference, adding as much extra learning as you can complete after NTI through July 2015.
  • Longer exhibit hours at the Critical Care Exposition. Exhibits will be open nearly 14 hours Tuesday, May 19 through Thursday, May 21. Ten hours are unopposed by clinical content, so you won’t have to choose between sessions and time in the exhibit hall.
  • A new approach to preconferences. We’re offering one-day preconferences Sunday only. For the handful of preconferences that once spanned two days, a live session will be complemented by flexible self-study to round out the learning experience.
  • Advanced Practice Institute. Build skills and broaden knowledge at AACN’s Advanced Practice Institute (API). Developed by nationally recognized advanced practice professionals, API offers more than 35 CEs, including up to 20 pharmacology contact hours.
  • A spectacular Nurses’ Night Off. We’ll celebrate Nurses’ Night Off at the San Diego Zoo Wednesday, May 20. We’ll have the entire place to ourselves to view the exhibits, enjoy the grounds and unwind with friends and colleagues.

Our most popular preconferences offer opportunities for hands-on experiential learning with three- and six-hour sessions providing deeper coverage on topics relevant to practice. Favorites such as the Procedural Cadaver Lab and Suturing Skills are back again this year. Continue>
