NSF International Announces Center of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Development
Ann Arbor, MI / Bristol, CT – NSF International, a global public health organization, has established the NSF International Center of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Development at its Bristol, Conn. laboratory. As an NSF International Center of Excellence, the laboratory will provide its scientific and technical expertise and expand its robust analytical testing capabilities, education and training to more clients through its laboratories in Germany, China, Peru and Brazil.
The NSF International Center of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Development conducts testing and evaluation across the entire product lifecycle for the pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology industries. The Center’s expertise, which reaches a global network of laboratories, includes pre-clinical and clinical development programs, unique method development and validation capabilities, and extractable and leachable studies for pharmaceutical packaging, combination medical devices and single-use processing equipment.
Clients in Germany, China, Peru and Brazil will have access to the expert toxicology risk assessment services in support of product development and regulatory filings. They can utilize the Center’s services to evaluate challenging products, including combination pharmaceutical/medical devices such as drug-eluting stents and metered dose inhalers. These capabilities provide significant value by reducing the need to consult multiple laboratories to achieve confidence in test results, saving time and expense in the product development sequence.
